...he Toffees, priced up as 11/2 before kick-off, took the lead through James McFadden but a 73 minute equaliser from Frank Lampard took the tie to a replay at Stamford Bridge.

League One high flyers Colchester United sent another Championship side packing in Derby County. Colchester were 11/8 favourites and found themselves 3-0 up through Neil Danns and Richard Garcia. A penalty from Tommy smith 11 minutes from time was the Rams only reply.

Leyton Orient will have had their supporters at 10/1 to beat Charlton Athletic. Jon Fortune gave the Addicks an early lead but the League Two side hit back through veteran Lee Steele. Charlton, 2/7 jollies before kick off, needed a stoppage time winner from Jay Bothroyd to spare their blushes.

The scent of an upset hung in the air before the lunch-time clash between league Two side Cheltenham Town and Newcastle United. Despite their efforts, Newcastle scored two goals in as many minutes just before half-time through michael Chopra and Scott Parker to justify their odds of ...more

Premiership betting Review - 26 February 2006

...Rovers. The 5/4 Gunners will have attracted a lot of punting interest, however, it was 21/10 Rovers that took the points after Morten Gamst Pedersens decisive goal. The result saw Blackburn leapfrog arsenal into fifth place while condemning them to their eighth away defeat of the season.

Birmingham City are within touching distance of safety after a vital win against Sunderland. Even though prior to the match the Blues had won just three games all season at St. Andrews, plenty will have ploughed into the 7/10 odds and Emile Heskey he...more

Yesterday, I was with George when he was diagnosed as suffering from cerebral atrophy. We didnt understand exactly what the doctor was telling us but a leaflet with the tablets she prescribed said Alzheimers.

George and I are lucky. Were into extra time and were going to play this game the way it should be played. Right up to the final whistle.

3 Keys To Finding Your Natural Running Stride

...ngth of my stride, the height of my stride, and so on.

And these are the three tricks to running that made the difference for me:

1. Don't be afraid to INCREASE your speed!

I realised that I was actually running too slow! I've naturally got a long stride (I'm just over 6 foot tall), but when on the treadmill I was taking tiny little strides. Why? Because if I'd run at my normal stride, I would have run into the front of the machine.

By increasing the speed of the machine, I was able to stretch my stride out to a better length for me, which made my whole running style much more fluid, and therefore easier on me.

2. Don't be afraid to INCREASE your incline!

If you aren't using an incline when running, then you are effectively running downhill. This is because ...more

Your Yoga Practice - 7 Guidelines For The Ultimate Beneficial Yoga Experience

...out interruptions, then that is then the best time for you to practice yoga.

The last guideline for a beneficial yoga experience is to consider the PLACE or SPOT to conduct your yoga practice in. What you want is a well ventilated area, but on the other hand not one that is draughty. You need the ventilation as your body will generate heat during the practice of the poses and you will perspire. On the other hand you don't want a draught in the room to chill and stiffen your muscles.

Also, the spot you choose should be quiet and still. So that your mind doesn't wander it's a good idea to choose the same spot for your yoga practice each time. If you're familiar with the spot, you won't be focusing on unnecessary things which will leave your mind free to focus on your practice.

If you choose to practice outside in the open air, then try not to practice in a cold breeze or conversely under the hot sun. Use common sense and find a spot that is comfortable for you.

As a final thought, always have something between you and the ground. In that regard a MAT is essential. There are some great mats and meditation pillows to be had which will definitely enhance your experience.

If you follow these simple guidelines, you can be assured that you will benefit from your yoga practice as you will have removed any physical obstacle which may interfere with your ability to build on and further your yoga practice.<...more
